


Spring Turkey Season is almost upon us. Charter members John McNally, Dave (Cookie) Burless, Rick (Doc) Decker, and Kim Kolbe spent March 27-March 29 preparing the camp for the Spring season. Camp improvements included a relocation of Mac's sleeping quarters, mounting of numerous deer "racks" and turkey "fans" on the west wall, and repair of gas lighting fixtures. A newly rebuilt carb was also installed and spark plugs replaced in the farm dump truck. It now runs as good as new. Master mechanics McNally/Burless worked together to get the truck running, Kolbe just chased tools and materials. Meals, as usual were outstanding. All you can eat Pollock (Whittemore Sportsman's), Beef Stew, and one pound steaks highlighted the menu. The camp appears ready for the April hunt.
