Fall 2009 Camp

The decision has been made. The fall hunt will be the week of October 12-19. Stay tuned for more details. More work was completed today at the N80. As we left camp someone noticed that vermin had attacked the table in the cook shack. I spent a little time treating the table AND the three stand up bars. Hope that discourages the vermin, can't hurt.

Sporty

It is with a tear in my eye that I report the demise of our treasured "Sporty," the sportsbar. Sporty had grown very weak from a serious infection and was crumbling on the site. It was determined by the Charter Members that it was time to put poor ole Sporty on the fire. Uncie Bill built a good, hot fire, and "The Knife" did the deed. Sporty burned brightly for almost 48 hours, not bad for an old soft white pine. "The Knife" indicated he will keep his eyes open for a replacement. Man, was there a lot of beer consumed around that stump!
