Winter 2012 Coyote Camp

Well, there is no safe ice, so the group decided to hold a "Coyote Camp". Cookie and Kolbs went up Wednesday, followed by John, Shawn, Dan, Aaron, and the Zoeller boys later in the week. Cookie and Kolbs kept the farm afloat while Johnny the Knife was in Vegas making his fortune. We were treated by over a foot of snow, and that made things interesting! Nothing moved in the woods, thus no Coyotes were seen. Feeding cattle was a challenge to say the least.

Dan entertained the group by cracking 16's before leaving Auburn and keeping the pace until well after midnight. He even appeared in a "Super Hero" costume that I can't describe. Shawn pontificated a lot, and Aaron again amazed us with his unlimited knowledge. Cookie, John, and Kolbs just watched in a stupor of awe!

The recently installed Solar System worked beyond expectations! We had more than enough electricity to power the heating system throughout the night and we also had light in the mornings! Discussions were held on how the system could be better utilized. Shawn also shared his plans for a new Kitchen area in Longneck Clubhouse. He and John will design and construct a better area for food preparation and cooking. This should result in a better utilization of space in the downstairs area. The bobrat population is down, with little evidence of their occupying the area. That is a GOOD thing.

Great Toddie hours and good fellowship was had by all. Looking forward to the Spring Turkey Camp!
