The Brains of the "Operation" meet to discuss progress on rennovations. All decisions must go through Brodie.
No comment needed here. We all know he has a camera hidden in the woods. Only shows up for Bud and Meals.

The "project" as it nears completion. Going to be nice this winter. Uncie Bill is going to install a light fixture outside and we will be able to enjoy Toddie Hours and look out new door as snow blows down the hill.
Wow, this building stuff is exhausting. Think I'll take a little nap. Had to finish beer first.

Brodie in one of his chairs. He now functions as "Supervision" during camp activities.
Hey, "I love Toddie hour(s)"

Cookie's Logo

After spending a week with Cookie I would have to say that this logo appropriately describes the boy's proclivity for using the delicacy known as bacon. Not a day went by that we didn't eat bacon or cook with the lovely grease that renders from the prime pork! Thanks Cookie, the North Eighty squad appreciates your special talents with the pork!

Busy Spring Camp.....

The Spring Turkey Season is now over. It was a busy camp. Lots of birds, few taken. Members present included: Uncle Bill, Cookie, Doc, Kolbs, Johnny Mac, Kris, Kyle, The Knife, Clark, and Klinger. Vistors this year included Nadine, Moe, Gary, Erich, Steve, Michelle, Baxter, Jill, Teak, Maggie, and Rick. Lots of wood was brought into camp (we still need more) and a new storage facility was constructed. As usual, the meals were great and the beverages were cold. No date has been set for summer work camp. It seems that people keep getting married and other events keep being planned, and work camp just doesn't fit in! We'll keep trying.

New storage shed

A new storage building was constructed during the spring camp. As you can see, Kris, John, Kyle, and Steve worked hard to complete the project in an afternoon. This will be a nice addition to camp. We will now have a place to store items and the Clubhouse will gain needed space. Thanks for the help guys! ONE!

Dancing with the Shovel

Uncle Bill continued his tradition of "Dancing with the Shovel!" This pic was taken as he sat around the Campfire, trying to stay awake past 8:00 p.m. Attempts to move the shovel were met by GREAT resistance, but he didn't wake up. This boy has snoozing down to a science. His afternoon naps were monumental! Even the mighty Toms couldn't lure Billy out to the woods in the afternoon. Priorities!

Spring Hunt 2010

Well, the 2010 Spring Turkey is over. This picture of Kim's Tom was taken opening day. He hunted at the corner of the West Field and had his Tom (8-9" Beard) by 7:30 a.m. Called both him and a Coyote in, then took the bird. The rest of the camp was shut out. Lots of birds, just couldn't get them to come to calls or decoys. Most of the Toms seemed to be going East this year! Could be the chopped down corn field that is East of the Barn.

This construction stuff is hard!

Man, watching the guys build the Hooka-Hooka was tiring. But, as you know, every job needs a supervisor! Basically I functioned as a sobriety cop, making sure some construction happened between long necks. Life is good.

Winter Fish Camp

OK you fishermen. Doc, Cookie, and Kolb's are ready to open another winter fish camp. We will be travelling to a few local lakes, eating like kings, having extensive toddie hours, and maybe even play a little cards. Camp opens on February 15th, and will run through the weekend. Longnecks are not required of this camp (we spend to much time on the hard floor), and the Bemis will be utilized. Let's all get out and enjoy another beautiful Michigan Winter!
